How Cable Ties Work

Author : Chris Paul Date : 11/25/2011 9:05:14 AM
Cable Ties Work Using A Simple Principle. One End Of The Cable Tie Has a Small Case (Head)

While The Other End Looks Like Tail. The Whole Body of The Cable Tie Has Threads (Gear Rack)

For Locking. The Tail Can Be Inserted and Passed Through The Head.

With Every Pull, The Thread On The Body Of The Tie Helps To Create a Irreversible Lock Which

Means That it Cannot Be Pulled Back. The Consequent Loop Will Be Only Able To Pull Tighter And

Cannot Be Opened Up Again. This Is Because The Thread Or Teeth On The Cable Ties Are Arranged

In a Saw-Tooth Design And The Head or The Case Contains a Ratchet. The Ratchet Locks Against

The Teeth Which Prevents The Tie From Being Pulled Back.
